It sucks out money, energy and time in the name of Jesus. It actually works against justice and equity. As a pastor of a church that for ten years now is continually striving for racial, economic and political justice in our Detroit neighborhood, we see the effects of such damaging theology every day of the week.Matthew Bodehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00157769622438442731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3559831097247793071.post-60598242636967657532012-05-26T00:05:59.493-04:002012-05-26T00:05:59.493-04:00I would agree Marc. Pastor Bode rather than making a good point, for instance Winans was even driving with a suspended license (some role model) but instead of discussing the emptiness of prosperity ministry, Pastor Bode comes across as a bitter man lacking in the theological and socioeconomic knowledge to make a true impact in a desolate city.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3559831097247793071.post-23310078254669527592012-05-25T08:21:50.698-04:002012-05-25T08:21:50.698-04:00Though the articles intent is noble both the autho...Though the articles intent is noble both the author and the article's subject are of questionable authority to be commenting on each other at best. Equity for the poor of our city is of utmost importance, but it will never come through poorly written, ill conceived missives such as this.Marc Latimorenoreply@blogger.com
